Popular Twitch Slots streamer Roshtein has closed down his store! A lot of people are wondering why Roshtein’s store is shutdown and if/when the store is coming back? Here’s the full scoop.
If you’ve ever visited Roshtein’s Twitch channel, one of the first things you’re bound to notice are the wave of !joins and !bets in chat and the giant moneybag graphic that drops down in his stream when he wins big, giving everyone watching points. However, for the past week or so, Roshtein hasn’t been doing his daily store openings. Roshtein broke it all down on his stream yesterday. Unsurprisingly, cheaters have figured out how to abuse the system to automatically and immediately claim all the items from the store the second it opened, leaving no chance for the dedicated viewers watching and waiting for their chance to claim free crypto.
“They created some weird APIs to the store,” Roshtein explained. “I don’t know how it works, but they were able to create some API to the store and from there, whenever something was restocked, they just claimed it. And they were sharing these scripts on some Discord server that they have. It wasn’t just two or three people doing it. It was like a whole system behind it.”
“Are you going to do anything to those that cheated?” one viewer asked. “Well, we do have a list of names, accounts,” Roshtein explained, “but they don’t know that I know. We’re just going to let them collect points and think they’re going to be able to use them but they’re not going to be able to.”
Will Roshtein’s store ever come back?
Deep breaths now, Roshtein’s store will be returning in a few weeks. Not only will it come back, but it’ll likely be even better as he transitions to his own custom-built store through his website Roshtein.com.
“The store will be updated. It’s gonna be back and it’s gonna be better than ever.” He says the store will be back in about two weeks. “It’s gonna be better, bigger, more fun than ever.”
“Having it on my website, I’m going to be able to do whatever I want.” Roshtein later teased, “Everything is going to remain the same or even better.”
It was due time for Roshtein’s store to get elevated to the next level, much like the production value of his streams over the years. Having the store on his own website, custom-made, is going to allow him to do so much more than was ever possible before. Viewers should be excited about the possibilities.
“It was long due. We’ve been using the StreamElements store for many, many years. We had the point system for more than five years. It was time to update it.” Roshtein explained the store was outdated. “I don’t think their store was meant to be used the way that we are using it.”
Will viewers lose all their points? No! Roshtein has emphasized that viewers will not lose their points. “We’re moving all the points to a new point system on my website,” he said.
